IEEE in Poland

Warsaw, Poland, Aug. 5, 2014, J. Roberto de Marca, second right, the head of the global Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, unveiled a stone memorial with a plaque in honor of Polish mathematicians Marian Rejewski, Jerzy Rozycki and Henryk Zygalski who first cracked Enigma-coded messages in 1932. Their method and an Enigma deciphering machine they built enabled British cryptologists to read coded Nazi orders and reports during World War II, contributing to the Allied victory. There are still a few Zygalski-sheets on display at Bletchley Park, but no-one to explain how they worked :-( So I had to jump in and explain them to fellow visitors.
